Welcome back Shadycrest Owls!!! I am so excited our year together is beginning! 

My name is Mrs. Schmidt and I am the counselor at Shadycrest!! This will be my 21st year in education and my 18th at Shadycrest! I graduated from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota and then received my Masters Degree in School Counseling from Lamar University. I love working with students and all the excitement it brings!

When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time cooking, baking, reading, shopping, traveling, and enjoying movies with my family. I am originally from the Cheese Head state of Wisconsin and try to visit as often as I can!

I am so excited about getting our year started. We are going to have an amazing year working as a team!
